An evening of local folk tales and brilliant contemporary folk music. Marianne Powell, local storyteller, will be telling two Fenland tales – spooky, mysterious and uplifting. Orphean Sprig, instrumental folk band, will bring their trademark arrangements creating a rich texture and original sound.

Expect foot-tapping tunes, fascinating tales and a hint of audience participation (for those who want it).

Accessibility and Venue Information

• Relaxed performance. Special consideration is given to the sensory needs of Neurodiverse / Autistic audience members.

• Amplified music with low volume settings. During the stories, there will be spoken voice and music at the same time.

• Gentle optional invitations to whole audience. For example  to sing-along briefly. No one-to-one interactions.

• A few places where there are some knocking noises during the stories.

• One of the stories has a spooky tone, and one of the characters is temporarily buried under a stone. 

• Five performers, all wearing day-to-day clothes, no costumes.
